We have a 100W C02 Laser that is only to be operated at 80% or below (this adds years to the life of the tube) inside of a laser cut treehouse inside of American Steel Studios in the East Bay.
Save 60% by running the job yourself. You must have proof of certification or experience. This can be obtained through TechShop if you haven't been trained before.
The number one rule in this shop: Never walk away from the laser while it is operating.
The materials you may cut are limited to: Acrylic, Delrin, Plywood, Cardboard, and Paper.
You may etch the same materials you can cut as well as most metals safely. Keep in mind that etching on many metals is not practical albeit safe.
The bed size/cut area is 35" x 55" and you can lower the Z axis about 12 inches. We do have a rotary attachment.
If you just need to run long batch processing, you can have our professionals set up the job for you and you do not need any classes to run repetitive passes on the same job. This would prohibit you from using the computer with Laser Cut 3.5 on it to manipulate or download additional files or iterations.
The 8 - 12 hour rate is $300 and 24 hour rate is $550.
